1792 born: based on LONDON ARCHIVES record (London, England, Deaths and Burials 1813-1980) where it shows she was buried 1st Sept 1834 aged 42 (so born 1792).Rare find made thanks to Mary Blakely - sent me baptism record (local parish) showing baptism record of their last son William Alexander McCarthy in 1833. JAMES MCCARTHY and THOMASINE clearly named as parents.1834: same above record shows her death/burial on 1st Sept at Saint Mary, Haggerston, Hackney, Middlesex.
1736: John McCarthy's book "Ghost upon my path" p70,p49 has him born in 1736 (date given in drawn family tree) in Ardcanacht (ardcanaght). However a 1812 document published in the MacCarthys of Munster p 527 (1997 edition) has him aged 86 in 1812, meaning his birth was around 1726. This date is supported in:http://www.users.on.net/~osborne/genealogy/grpf137.html: states he was born in 1726estimated 1785-1788? : married Ellen Williams : source: drawn family tree (McCarthys of Munster p314-316 1st edition).1789: John McCarthy's book (p.48) states Daniel McCarthy moved to Tralee where his son James was born.1789 DEC: mentioned in son's baptism/birth record1789 - born on 28 December:Name JAMES MCCARTHY Date of Birth 28 December 1789 (BASED ON OTHER DATE INFORMATION) Address NR Father DANIEL MCCARTHY Mother ELLEN WILLIAMS source: Baptism, Marriage and Burial records:Parish/Church/Congregation - TRALEE ;Area - KERRY (RC) Book Number Page Entry Number Record_Identifier 1 13 299 KY-RC-BA-446971 see: http://churchrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/details/43eb2118819401793-95: Daniel was " for some years prior to his brother's death(Florence) out of the kingdom". source: 1812 document printed in McCarthy of Munster 2nd edition p 528.1797: http://churchrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/details/55ba571883907:Daniel McCarthy witness to baptism of Name BRIDGET MCCARTHY Date of Birth 1 December 1797 (BASED ON OTHER DATE INFORMATION) Address CLOHORBRIEN Father PATRICK MCCARTHY Mother JOHANNA SCANLAN (BUT can't find any PATRICK MCCARTHYS near by in my family tree)1827: (Nov 3rd) date of Daniel's letter from 62 Dawson Street, Dublin to son James McCarthy of Tralee.--------Florence (older brother) and Daniel were (so it was believed) "left out of the lease" of the Ardcanaght land (being in the ptotection of Trinity College) but new 1812 document published in MCarthy of Munster 2nd edition (1997) states that "sid lands were never forfeited but put under the protecion of the Colledge" (p527).Now have a copy of a letter from Daniel to his son James of Tralee (proof of son-father relationship).1830 died - date given in drawn family tree.1843: marriage cert of his son James, names Daniel as his father with the profession "gentleman" - so he is either probably retired or perhaps already dead.
